I originally studied Chemistry with plans to become a high school teacher and track coach, but life had other ideas. That passion for science never faded, though—these days, it just means entertaining my kids with fun chemical reactions at home. When I’m not playing ‘chemist,’ you can usually find me on the golf course, trying (and failing) to outplay my small children. I love the game for the challenge, the camaraderie, and the excuse to be outside. If I weren’t in my current career, I’d probably be a chef—there’s something rewarding about creating something from scratch, serving it to others, and seeing the immediate joy it brings. That’s probably why I keep going back to Anchor Bar in San Antonio. Between the wings, the cold drinks, and the great memories—fantasy football drafts, post-game celebrations, and catching up with old friends—it’s my go-to spot to unwind.
