With construction deeply rooted in his family, Brock found his calling in an industry that offers both stability and exciting challenges. Inspired by his grandfather, who worked for a general contractor for 30 years, and his mom, who built spec homes, Brock grew up seeing the rewards of hard work in construction. At Marksmen, his favorite part of the job is the people, describing his coworkers as not only fun to be around but always ready to support one another both professionally and personally. His advice to newcomers is simple but powerful: don’t be afraid to ask questions. Whether it’s a “silly” question or a tough one, curiosity and learning from others are key to growth in the field.

Bobby’s advice to those starting out in construction is simple but impactful: “Every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence.” This mindset fuels his approach to challenges—breaking down tasks, setting clear goals, and maintaining a positive attitude through each step. His dedication to quality and focus ensures that every project is a reflection of his commitment to excellence.
Adam Hudec’s path to construction started while working in public accounting, where he spent time with contractors and developed an appreciation for the industry, its impact on the community, and the humble, like-minded people who make it work. At Marksmen GC, he values being part of a team that feels like family and enjoys seeing the direct impact projects have on the communities they serve.

Marksmen General Contractors offers a paid internship program for high school and college students interested in a career in commercial construction. Our internships take an all-encompassing approach that lets you gain experience in all aspects of commercial construction from estimating to supervision to project management and even business development.
