For Paul, construction represents a world of opportunity, and his favorite aspect of the job is mentoring teams and building strong client relationships. A standout project in his career is ESD 7, where he not only worked with a great owner but also formed lifelong friendships. When offering advice to those starting out in the industry, Paul keeps it simple: “Pay attention.” His passion for success drives him to stay motivated and focused, even during the most challenging projects.
Construction has always been in my blood—both my grandfather and father dedicated their careers to the industry. Though my own path initially led me toward computer systems and process optimization, I always felt drawn back to construction. Working at Marksmen GC allows me to blend both worlds, applying my expertise to enhance efficiency and accuracy in a field that feels like home. Learning about the business while contributing meaningful solutions keeps me motivated. No project is without its roadblocks, but I believe success comes from adaptability and teamwork. Knowing we have each other’s backs and are all working toward a common goal makes every challenge an opportunity to improve.
Vidal’s interest in construction was sparked by a friend’s dad who owned a concrete company. At Marksmen, he enjoys organizing fun activities with clients and subcontractors, building strong relationships along the way. One of his favorite memories is the bid process for Fire Station 121 which took place his first week on the job, a high-energy experience that felt like a scene from The Wolf of Wall Street. His advice for newcomers is to never hesitate to ask questions—learning is constant, even for seasoned professionals. Knowing that leadership will review his work motivates him to always deliver his best.
