A space for community

In the fall of 2020, our team received the opportunity to construct a Fellowship Hall for St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Canyon Lake. Nestled among dense oak trees just below the dam, this facility was designed by Fisher Heck Architects to host weddings, potlucks, and community events, a true multi-purpose space for the church. Delivered under the Construction Manager at Risk (CM at Risk) method, the pre-engineered metal building embodies the church’s commitment to fostering fellowship among its parishioners.

However, construction did not commence until February 2023. Over three years, our team navigated inflation, code changes, and fundraising challenges. Despite the obstacles, we remained optimistic, collaborating closely with the design team and the building committee while our marketing team worked to support fundraising efforts. The struggle was worth it; the new hall has since become a vibrant space for community gatherings and celebrations.

Throughout the project, we implemented strategic solutions to address challenges, maintaining clear communication and collaboration among stakeholders. Our project management framework ensured that every design detail met the church's needs. The final structure was completed on time and within budget, exceeding expectations and harmonizing beautifully with its natural surroundings.
