After the successful passage of Proposition C in the 2022 bond election, Harlandale Independent School District (HISD) set out to modernize the Harlandale Memorial Stadium, a vital part of its athletic programs. Our team was selected to lead this comprehensive project, which included a state-of-the-art 9,500-square-foot press box, a 9,000-square-foot locker room, and a new rubberized track.

From the start, our team showcased their commitment to quality, managing the careful demolition of existing structures and ensuring seamless transitions through planning and execution. Despite challenges like coordination with CPS Energy and procurement delays for critical components, the team maintained open lines of communication, which expedited approvals and minimized disruptions. A significant hurdle arose when the main switchgear faced an 80-week lead time, but our collaboration with stakeholders led to a viable alternative, cutting the wait down to 20 weeks.

The project was strategically scheduled around HISD's athletic programs, demonstrating Marksmen's dedication to the community. The result was a modernized stadium that not only enhances functionality but also symbolizes pride for the district. Engaging the community throughout, Marksmen celebrated milestones with topping out and ribbon-cutting ceremonies, solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner in San Antonio construction.
