The project was a journey to honor the legacy of ESD 2’s oldest and most beloved station while bringing it into the 21st century. The ambitious transformation consolidated five disjointed buildings into two modern facilities, all while preserving the iconic heritage oak trees and the original firefighter-built structure. Our team collaborated closely with ESD 2 and BRW Architects, deftly navigating complexities.
Through careful planning and innovative solutions, the new fire station and the renovated training classroom now provide vital spaces, including living quarters, administrative offices, and ample training areas. The project successfully integrated modern amenities while paying tribute to the station’s rich history. Today, Fire Station 121 stands as a symbol of pride and readiness, ready to support the firefighters and the community for generations to come.
